Crew Purser (Salary $1900-$2300 US dollars per month)
Responsible for various duties relating to the administration of all the crew onboard the vessel e.g. sleeping quarter allocations, security dog tags etc. Previous work experience within a similar or hotel environment would be an advantage along with good English skills.
Junior Assistant Purser (JAP) (Salary $1600-$1800 US dollars per month)
Reporting to the Assistant Purser you will be responsible for the front desk/reception area dealing directly with the paying clients onboard the vessel. Previous hotel experience is essential for this position along with fluent English and a grounding in other languages. Potential promotion opportunities to the position of Assistant Purser could be gained from this role.
Assistant Purser (Salary $2000-$2500 US dollars per month)
Reporting to the Deputy Purser you will be responsible for various duties within the purser office and front desk e.g. general customer queries, complaints etc. Previous hotel experience requested for this position along with a formal certificate. Fluent English and a grounding in other languages is also desired by potential employers.
Deputy Purser (Salary $3800-$4800 US dollars per month)
Reporting to the Chief Purser you will be responsible for operations within the purser’s office. This important position would attract people with 3 years plus hotel experience and a formal management certificate. Fluent English skills is crucial as clear communication within this position is essential.
Chief Purser (Salary $4300-$6000 US dollars per month)
Barring the deck and engine you will be responsible for the supervision of all departments onboard the vessel. This crucial role would attract people with 5 years plus hotel experience and a formal management qualification. Fluent English skills a must for this position as strong communication skills will be required.
