Life On A Cruise Ship

The best job in the world? Like every job it has its ups and downs. It is what you make of it that counts.

Whatever ship you secure work on, one thing is for sure is that you will have a superb time and meet friends for life from all corners of the world. Your fellow staff and tourists onboard will come from wide and varied backgrounds sharing their feel good sensation with you within the settings of the most beautiful parts of the world.

What other job offers the chance to go ashore and visit world renown beaches and resorts such as Hawaii and the Caribbean.

Do not forget that you are staff and working onboard is also hard work, where the pace is quick, the hours can be long and at the end of the day you do not go home. Storage space in crew quarters can also be limited, so we recommend that everyone pack light. All crew quarters are different, but typically an employee can expect to have a small locker and a couple of drawers in which to store belongings.

You may be a long distance from family but keeping in touch is easy due to most cruise ships now having internet cafes, satellite phones and a postal service. If you feel a phone call is the best way it is cheapest to use payphones in ports where the ship will be docked on average 3-4 times per week.

Finally just close your eyes and picture yourself walking along the deck with the warm sun in your face, whether carrying drinks or bringing sun glasses for a paying guest you will only then comprehend the distance you are from the worldly turmoil of daily life.

And one further point I forgot to mention. YOU ALSO GET PAID FOR WORKING IN THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD!
